The Hawaiian Gardens City Public Housing Authority convened in June 2024 at 5:49 p.m. and confirmed a quorum of directors. The meeting proceeded with routine governance business, including approval of the agenda and the consent calendar by roll-call vote.
Directors recorded as present were Director Hernandez, Director Jones, Director De Paola, Director Farfan, Director Vargas and Vice Chair Member Rua. After no changes were requested to the agenda, a director moved to approve and the clerk called the roll; each named director responded “yes” and the motion carried. The consent calendar was likewise approved after no items were pulled for separate discussion, with the same affirmative roll-call votes recorded.
The meeting record shows there were no members of the public on Zoom for PHA public comment. A resident who attended in person attempted to raise a billing question (see separate item), and the clerk directed that matter to the City Council meeting that followed. With no further business or oral reports, the Chair adjourned the meeting and scheduled the next Public Housing Authority meeting for Wednesday, July 22 at 5:45 p.m.
The session included no formal resolutions, ordinances, appointments, or contract awards for PHA action during this meeting.
