Weed Superintendent Carlson reported to the Polk County Board of County Commissioners on July 23 that the Weed Department continues to spray county road rights-of-way and blind intersections and that cost-share chemicals are available to qualifying landowners. Carlson said staff will receive continuing-education credits at upcoming training in Kearney.
At the start of the meeting, the board read and approved the minutes of the previous meeting. Chairman Jerry Westring also informed attendees that a current copy of the Open Meetings Act is posted in the meeting room.
With no further business, the board adjourned at 11:50 a.m. and set its next meetings for Aug. 6 and Aug. 20, 2024; agendas will be available at the County Clerk's office. The meeting record shows Debra S. Girard as County Clerk.
