Several commissioners said they had observed demolition and dirt moving on 109th and questioned whether a demolition permit had been issued.
Commissioners called for a more proactive enforcement presence and discussed creating or designating a zoning/code enforcement position that would work directly with planning staff to verify compliance with conditions such as building materials, landscaping and setbacks. One commissioner suggested the planning commission pursue administrative conversations with the mayor’s office about staffing and budget options to support enforcement.
The chair agreed to follow up administratively. The meeting concluded with a motion to adjourn.
