Planning commission continues Agricultural and Winery Corridor implementation ordinance to August 12

The Monterey County Planning Commission continued consideration of the implementation ordinance for the Agricultural and Winery Corridor Plan (REF 25009) to a date certain of Aug. 12 at staff request.
Fiona Jensen, planning staff, presented the draft implementation ordinance and said staff recommended more time to revise the draft. Commissioner Deal asked whether the commission could schedule a workshop or time-certain refresher before the hearing so commissioners and the public could review the corridor boundaries, intent and implementation details; Jensen agreed to work with staff to provide either a refresher or a workshop depending on timing.
The commission took no public comment on the continuance, moved to continue the item (motion by Commissioner Hartzell, second by Commissioner Gomez) and approved the continuance by roll call.
Staff will revise the draft ordinance and coordinate with commissioners on scheduling educational outreach or a workshop so the public and commissioners can review the plan background ahead of the next hearing on Aug. 12.
