The meeting opened with the Pledge of Allegiance and proceeded to consider the agenda. Director Green moved to approve the agenda and Director Hathaway seconded; the board voted 6-0 to adopt it. The consent agenda was then approved on a motion from Director Luna, seconded by Director Hathaway, also by a 6-0 vote.
Under purchases above $10,000, the board approved a workers' compensation renewal. A board member moved to approve the renewal and Director Winsloff seconded; that motion passed on a 6-0 vote. Later in the same section the board approved listed bus and van purchases (item 6.2) on a motion from Director Burns, seconded by Director Radway; that vote was also 6-0.
Following the votes the board adjourned the regular meeting by unanimous consent and convened a school board work session. The work session opened at 6:40 p.m. and included an introductory note that Tori from the University of Minnesota was present to begin the next items.
