Bradley County mayor places three vendor agreements on Sept. 15 agenda, including mental‑health services for first responders

Mayor D. Gary Davis presented three separate resolutions at the Bradley County Commission work session on Sept. 8 that were placed on the commission's Sept. 15 voting agenda.
The most prominent resolution would authorize the county to negotiate and enter into an agreement with Journey Mental Health to provide mental‑health services to Bradley County first responders. Commissioner Milan Blake asked that the resolution be amended to explicitly include county 911 employees; Blake placed the item on the Sept. 15 agenda for a vote.
D. Gary Davis also presented a resolution to extend the county's telephone services agreement with ipSBS Managed Services, LLC, d/b/a HostMyCalls. The proposed extension would run three years and cover telephone service at the Bradley County Courthouse and Annex at $1,797.00 per month and the Bradley County Juvenile Center at $1,184.72 per month. Commissioner Blake placed that resolution on the Sept. 15 voting session agenda.
Finally, the mayor presented a resolution to enter a six‑year equipment lease and maintenance agreement with Flex Financial, a division of Stryker Sales, LLC, for 14 Lifepak 35 cardiac monitor devices for Bradley County EMS for a total contract amount of $123,500. Commissioner Josh Rogers placed that resolution on the Sept. 15 agenda.
None of the three items was voted on at the Sept. 8 work session; each was formally placed on the Sept. 15 voting session agenda for consideration. The commission did not take public comment on these items during the work session. The voting session is scheduled for Sept. 15 at noon in the Commission Room.
