The Board ratified Resolution 2024‑05A accepting the audited financial report for the fiscal year ended Sept. 30, 2023. On motion by Bob Schultz and seconded by Kurt Blumenthal, the Board ratified the resolution.
Mrs. Adams then presented unaudited financial statements as of Sept. 30, 2024 and highlighted apparent variances: General Fund “Engineering” showing 209% of budget (possible misallocation of Special Revenue items), “Contingencies” at 421% of budget due to an $4,209 landscaping charge that should be reclassified to Other Contractual, and NPDES reporting filing costs at $19,805 (152% of budget). Staff will request paid invoices from Corporate and correct ledger entries in the next financial report.
Separately, the Board approved an emergency Precision Cleaning, Inc. street sweeping proposal for storm cleanup in a one‑time amount of $1,475 and authorized staff to add additional week‑to‑week cleanings next month if needed.
The Board also recorded a number of completed Active Action items and approved rescheduling the November meeting to Nov. 19, 2024.
No budget amendments were adopted at this meeting; staff committed to provide invoice detail and ledger corrections for the next statements.
