The River Ridge Community Development District approved a set of goals, objectives and performance measures on Aug. 27 to comply with Florida’s recently adopted HB7013, district officials said.
District Counsel Tony Pires, District Manager Chuck Adams and Mrs. Adams explained that HB7013 requires special districts to establish and report annual goals and performance standards. The Board identified three primary focus areas for Fiscal Year 2025: Community Communication and Engagement; Infrastructure and Facilities Maintenance; and Financial Transparency and Accountability.
The initial performance report is due Dec. 1, 2025 and must be posted on the district website, officials said. The Board voted to approve the Goals and Objectives and the Performance Measures/Standards & Annual Reporting Form during the meeting.
Board members instructed staff to add the new reporting requirement to the district’s key activity dates list so the timeline and posting obligations are tracked.
The move aligns the district with the statutory reporting timeline and establishes a baseline set of measures staff will use to assess progress in the coming year.
