Board approves Local 737 and Oregon Nurses Association agreements; two agreements deferred
Summary
Klamath County commissioners ratified the Laborers' Union Local 737 contract and authorized the Human Resources office to sign the Oregon Nurses Association agreement. Agreements with Operating Engineers Local 701 and the Federation of Parole and Probation Officers were deferred.
The Klamath County Board of Commissioners approved two collective bargaining actions June 25 and deferred two others for later consideration.
Sue Baumgart, Human Resources, presented collective bargaining agreements. Commissioner Nichols moved to approve the Laborers' Union Local 737 agreement; Commissioner Minty seconded and the motion passed unanimously. Commissioner Nichols then moved to approve and authorize the Human Resources director to sign the Oregon Nurses Association agreement; Commissioner Minty seconded and the motion passed unanimously.
Sue Baumgart told the Board that the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 701 and the Federation of Parole and Probation Officers agreements will be presented for approval at a later date. The meeting record does not include fiscal terms or effective dates for the approved agreements.
