Commissioners approve seasonal hires, accept resignation and pass payroll and expense warrants

The Norfolk County Commissioners approved a set of personnel and payroll actions during the May 27 meeting.
Commissioner Stady moved to approve contingent appointments for seasonal golf associates at the Walter Recreation Facility — John Dunn; Shing a Bong; from Marchuk; Ryan Clover; Brendan Kearns; and B. Delashan — with an effective date of May 28, 2026. The motion was seconded and carried unanimously. Stady also moved to accept the resignation of seasonal golf associate Daniel McCann, effective May 1, 2026; that motion was also seconded and approved unanimously.
The board approved payroll and expense warrants for the following items: county payroll line item 26-47 in the amount of $147,774.75; school payroll line item 26-47.624 in the amount of $421,269.80; another school payroll line item 26-47.24.1 in the amount of $124,928.50; and county expenses record 050426 in the amount of $27,431.78. Each motion to approve the warrants was seconded and passed by voice vote.
The personnel and payroll actions were routine items on the commissioners' warrant list; no public comment was recorded on these items and votes were unanimous among those present.
