Commissioners approve electrician appointment, multiple personnel notices and three warrant payments

Norfolk County Commissioners on June 3 approved a series of personnel actions and warrant payments during their regular meeting.

Sam Meskina moved approval of the appointment of Paul Lally as foreman electrician, effective June 8, 2026; the motion was seconded and carried.

The commission also approved routine personnel notices for the Walter Recreational Facility (a name-change notice for Alexander Hernandez, seasonal golf associate, effective June 1, 2026) and contingent employment notices for three seasonal golf associates (Patrick Brick, Neil McColl and James Brundage, effective June 4, 2026). Multiple notices of resignation at the Norfolk County Aggie School — including Lauren Durso and James Ordale as substitute instructors — were accepted, as were the resignations of student laborers Allison Palmer and Emily Perron (effective May 11, 2026). An address-change notice for instructor Benjamin Polito (effective June 3, 2026) was recorded.

Commissioners then approved the payroll warrant 26-48 for $155,385.79 and an expense warrant (06-0126) for $55,451.35. The meeting record shows the county also approved a welfare recreational renewal, item 61-25, in the sum of $51,282.

Votes were recorded as “all in favor” or “aye” and several motions were described in the transcript as “deemed carried.” Where the transcript lists a mover, Sam Meskina is recorded as moving several of the personnel items.

The personnel slate and warrants concluded without further discussion and the meeting proceeded to remaining agenda items.
