The board voted June 24 to send a letter to the Secretary of the Commonwealth supporting the use of a technology fund for an IBM power upgrade for the registry system. Richard presented a draft letter that staff recommended forwarding on county letterhead; a motion to send the letter carried on roll call.
Richard indicated the letter was prepared following productive discussions at the prior meeting and recommended expedited mailing so the Secretary's office is informed promptly. Commissioners moved and seconded the measure and approved it unanimously.
Staff said they will put the letter on official letterhead and send it the same day or the following morning.
