State: Aadian math will be optional for 2026–27; Aadian reading remains required

A presenter (Marian) told the meeting that, due to funding changes, Aadian math will be optional for LEAs in the coming school year and LEAs were asked to complete a survey by June 10 to indicate whether they will administer the assessment. She said ‘‘the deadline for that was June 10th. We haven't heard from everybody.’’
The state will purchase manual licenses for kindergarten through third grade for LEAs that choose to participate; LEAs that want digital licenses may pay an additional fee. Presenters clarified that ADM‑hosted Aadian math data are being migrated to ALO and that historical math data will remain accessible in ALO. They also emphasized that Aadian reading remains required: LEAs must continue to assess K–3 reading in ALO.
