CACTUS will be taken offline June 30; USIMS to assume LEA functions in mid‑August

Kristen cautioned that USIMS “will not have the functionality to upload the teacher files,” so LEAs that rely on the state to load large bulk files need to get those files to the state before the transfer so they can be migrated into CACTUS and then transferred to USIMS. She said ALEs requests and some LEA functionality will remain available through EOSIMS or CACTUS during the transition period.

LEAs that need bulk loading were advised to coordinate with the team named in the presentation before the CACTUS downtime.
