The Dobbs Ferry Board of Trustees used its June 23 meeting to administer several oaths of office and to recognize community achievements.
Michael Nep (transcript: Mr. Nepal) was administered the oath to begin as temporary village administrator on June 24 and to become village administrator effective July 24, 2026; he will overlap with outgoing administrator Rob Mutter, who retires next month.
The board also sworn in two police officers. Alissia Shimeia completed background checks and standard screenings and took the oath; the board moved and approved her appointment. Chelsea Collins likewise completed all screening steps and was sworn in after trustees voted on her appointment; she described a career in claims and benefits work and said she was excited to join the department.
Other appointments approved by the board included Jake Broccoli as a starting laborer for the Department of Public Works and four volunteers appointed to the human rights committee (Aisha Jagazar, Bill Porton, Susan Tryman, and Nomi Uribe) for one-year terms. All were moved and seconded by trustees as recorded during roll call.
Separately, the board read a proclamation honoring the Dobbs Ferry High School varsity softball team for a 19–3 season and its run to the state final; captains Nicola Georgio and Giana Stone thanked coaches and the community for their support.
These personnel actions were recorded as motions and passed by the board; staff will complete onboarding and coordinate start dates.
