Finance Director Miss Browning told the Sumner County Financial Management Committee on June 25 that two additional departments—General Sessions Judge 3 and Chancery Court—have been migrated onto the Kronos timekeeping system and that General Sessions Judge One is preparing to go live at the end of the month.
She said controller audit staff are conducting preliminary FY26 budget work and expect to return to finish the budget soon. Miss Browning reported no outstanding controller audit issues at that time.
The committee also considered a time-sheet exception report. Members said a circuit court clerk submitted a timesheet after the 10:00 a.m. deadline (submitted at 10:05 a.m.), and several employees working in Kronos had missing punches or had not corrected punches promptly. The veterans office entry prompted a question about corrective-action protocol: committee members asked whether corrective actions should be documented by supervisors rather than by the employee. The transcript records that an email reply associated with Jeff Oki indicated he would discuss the issue with his supervisor.
Committee members asked for clarification on corrective-action ownership and how supervisors will document future responses. No formal disciplinary actions were recorded in the June 25 meeting; the discussion focused on improving timekeeping compliance and supervisory oversight as departments transition to Kronos.
