The Prairie City City Council unanimously approved a Public Works recommendation on Feb. 27 to accept Automatic Systems’ $8,349 quote to repair or replace the dissolved oxygen measurement system at the wastewater treatment plant.
Public Works Superintendent Harry Brannen presented three quotes: JETCO at $6,665; Automatic Systems at $8,349; and Electric Pump at $10,135. Based on the recommendation, Councilmember Derek Ingle moved to accept the Automatic Systems quote; Councilmember Joe Disney seconded and the motion carried on a unanimous roll-call vote.
Council did not request further bids and directed staff to proceed with the repair/replacement. The procurement is intended to maintain monitoring and control at the wastewater facility.
