Prairie City Council schedules Feb. 12 public hearings on GO loan, budget amendment, development and rezoning

At its Jan. 8 meeting, the Prairie City Council set four public hearings for 6 p.m. on Feb. 12, 2025, at City Hall.
Council approved Resolution 1-8-25-4 to schedule a public hearing on a proposal to enter into a general obligation loan and disbursement agreement. The council also approved Resolution 1-8-25-5 to set a public hearing to consider amendments to the city’s FY25 budget.
Additionally, the council scheduled hearings to consider a planned development application from Elle Group LLC for S. State Street and a proposed rezoning at 201 S. Madison Street. All four hearings were set by roll-call votes that the transcript reports as unanimous.
The Feb. 12 hearings will provide opportunities for public comment and for council consideration of the items before any final action is taken.
