Hubbard-Radcliffe principals report improving proficiency, flag attendance as ongoing concern; community supported outdoor eating area

Elementary Principal Cari Teske told the board that students shared their work with families during the annual Showcase Day and that a PBIS celebration was held in the city park on the last day of school. Teske said the elementary received donations of eight picnic tables to create an outdoor eating area.
Middle School Principal Crystal Reinertson reported that schedules for students and staff for 2026–27 are complete and that the student handbook is finished and ready for the board to review. Reinertson said academic proficiency is improving but attendance remains an issue the district must address.
Director of Teaching, Learning & Assessment Sherri Walker provided an overview of the district’s 2025–26 accomplishments and said planning is underway for 2026–27, including another Paraeducator Conference to support staff professional learning. A high-school report was submitted by Mr. Rundall and included in the meeting packet.
No public comment was received during the meeting. The updates provide an operational backdrop to the board’s business actions that followed, including procurement and personnel approvals.
