Kenosha board recognizes new principals and transportation supervisor

Before the budget discussion, the board recognized several administrative and supervisory appointments.
Superintendent Dr. Weiss introduced Kurt Johnson as regional coordinator for leadership and learning, citing his KUSD career beginning in 1996 and roles as teacher, dean and principal, including recognition as administrator of the year in 2017. Joel Kaufman was introduced as the new principal at Pleasant Prairie Elementary; staff summarized his career in physical education, middle-school leadership roles and prior principalships. Che Kirby was introduced as principal of Brass Community School with a background in social studies instruction and curriculum leadership. Alyssa Lynch was recognized as transportation supervisor, with prior district experience in transportation operations and a degree in business management from UW-Parkside.
The board congratulated the appointees; these appointments were presented for board recognition and will be reflected in the district's personnel records.
