The board authorized a one-year renewal with Effective School Solutions to continue school-based mental-health services in middle and high schools, funded by the school‑based mental‑health grant; the contract amount presented to the board was $618,967 for 2026–27. District staff said the vendor has provided services for two prior years and is prepared to report program data.
The board also renewed a three-year agreement with Imagine Learning for high-school credit-recovery services. Staff reported more than 1,600 unique students used the vendor’s courses in the 2024–25 cycle to complete some 3,500 course attempts; the annual contract renewal amount presented was about $306,008 and would be paid from the teaching-and-learning budget.
On policy, the board approved revisions to policy/rule 66.33 (student technology acceptable use), including annual distribution of guidance to families and a progressive-discipline matrix for device misuse. Two members recorded no votes on that motion; the motion otherwise carried.
Administratively required by state law, the board adopted the annual parent notice and declaration under Act 55 to use Wisconsin academic standards for ELA, math and other required areas for 2026–27, and the board renewed its membership in the Southeast Wisconsin School Alliance (SWISA).
Next steps: staff said vendors would provide follow-up data and implementation plans; policy changes will be included in annual registration materials to families.
