The Town Board of Malone on Feb. 25 heard a highway report from Superintendent Michael Andrews and approved moving forward with a Section 284 paving plan for three roads.
Andrews told the board "the salt shed is officially completed. The crew did an amazing job on it," and said the facility lets crews mix sand and salt the night before major storms and store materials more safely. He reported recent work on potholes, road signs and brush-clearing and said he would like to use unspent project funds for interior lights and other safety upgrades in the shed.
Andrews presented a proposed 284 agreement and identified three roads planned for paving this summer: Junction Road; Teboville Road to Stone Road; and Bull Run Road. The board adopted Resolution 60-2026 granting permission to accept the 284 presentation and proceed.
The minutes record routine maintenance updates and the 284 authorization; the meeting record does not include contract awards, bid amounts, or scheduled start dates for the paving work. The board also approved routine voucher payments and a payroll journal transfer later in the meeting.
