Chair Frankel called the House Health Committee to order, established a quorum and asked the committee to take a single vote on a package of resolutions the chairs had deemed noncontroversial.
The package, read aloud by the chair, included HR 570 recognizing the week of August 2026 as National Health Center Week; HR 571 recognizing September 2026 as Baby Safety Month; HR 572 recognizing June 27, 2026, as PTSD Awareness Day; HR 573 recognizing August 2026 as National Breastfeeding Month; HR 574 recognizing September 2026 as Birth Center Week; HR 575 designating September 2026 as Prostate Cancer Awareness Month; HR 577 recognizing September 2026 as Newborn Screening Awareness Month; and HR 578 recognizing September 2026 as Neonatal Nurses Week.
Chair Frankel asked whether anyone objected to taking one consolidated vote and instructed members to raise their hands to record opposition. "Is there any opposition to the package of noncontroversial resolutions? Those objecting, please raise your hands," the chair said. Seeing none, the chair reported the package out of the committee unanimously.
There was no further business, and Chair Frankel adjourned the meeting.
