Trust hears updates on Maple Square leasing and Page Street construction
Summary
Staff told the Trust that Maple Square affordable units were re-advertised and are now leasing under revised pricing and that a stop-work order at the Page Street/Elm Street project has been resolved, allowing construction to proceed.
Staff reported ongoing discussions with Maple Square project representatives about commercial certificate of occupancy timing, parking configuration and tenant concerns. The Trust was told that affordable units at 83 Elm Street / 5 Essex Street were re-advertised following rent adjustments and are being leased under revised pricing structures.
On the Page Street / Elm Street project, staff said a stop-work order tied to foundation issues has been resolved and construction may proceed. Staff also reported that prior disputes about elevator requirements were resolved in the Town’s favor.
