Dubois County considers Vialytics AI pavement management system; final contract language requested

The Dubois County Highway Department presented a demonstration of the Vialytics Road Management System and requested authorization to move forward pending contract review, Highway Engineer Levi Leffert said at the March 2 meeting.
Slater Rush, sales manager for Vialytics, described the system as an AI‑powered pavement and asset management platform that can help assess road conditions, prioritize repairs and document construction projects without adding staff or special equipment. Rush outlined an annual cost of $32,200, which the company tied to coverage described as 425 lane miles, two phones, six free user accounts and 25 additional user accounts.
Commissioners did not finalize a contract at the meeting. Instead, the board asked the vendor to incorporate the county's required contract language and return for final action. Leffert said the system would provide improved efficiency, accountability and documentation for construction projects and for road‑use agreements when developers use local roads during work.
No vote was taken on March 2; staff and the vendor will complete contractual language before the board considers formal approval.
