At an 11:00 a.m. bid opening on Sept. 30, the Carbon County commissioners received two proposals for asphalt repairs on Boyd Cooney Dam Road. Knife River submitted a bid of $191,389.80 and Wharton Asphalt LLC submitted a bid of $207,281.25. Grett Morgan of Knife River joined the meeting for the bid opening.
Commissioner Bill Bullock read the proposals aloud and noted Commissioner Blain would review the proposals; the award of the contract is scheduled for Oct. 7 at 10:00 a.m. No award decision was made at the Sept. 30 meeting.
