Public Works (Jim Pfantz) reported a small sinkhole on Owen Street in front of Linda Fuller’s house, indicating a broken storm sewer line; Ricken Tiling was contacted and scheduled to work on Butler Street in the third week of June. Pfantz also renewed an earlier request that staff draft rules for the city parking lot to address long-term parking and turnover; council supported starting a list of potential rules including maximum parking durations and frequency of required movement.
Council members also reviewed cleanup-week results: volunteers and staff hauled 9.81 tons to the landfill, incurring $539.55 in dump fees (tires excluded). Mayor John White noted that if volunteers are not available next year, the event may be discontinued.
