Council OKs temporary premises change for Clarks' Bar during RAGBRAI; donor thanked

Melbourne City Council granted a temporary change of premise to Clarks' Bar for RAGBRAI at its July 9 meeting.
Clarks' Bar requested to use the block from Main Street to 2nd Avenue between the Bank and Vern’s Implement for RAGBRAI activities. Council member Juel moved to approve the change of premise; Council member Stahl seconded and the motion passed unanimously.
Separately, City Clerk Mary L. Pothast reported that Alliant donated $500 toward RAGBRAI expenses and said she would send a thank-you. Council received an update that RAGBRAI planning was progressing; no action was taken on a rental policy draft during the meeting.
