Melbourne council approves agenda change, minutes and accepts $800 dump-truck bid

Melbourne — At its May 14, 2018 meeting in the Melbourne Library basement, the Melbourne City Council amended the agenda to add an item to open truck bids and to move the June meeting to June 4 at 7 p.m., approved prior meeting minutes and bills, and accepted a bid to sell the city’s dump truck.
Mayor John White added the agenda amendment. Council member C. White moved to approve the agenda change and meeting-date change; Juel seconded. The council voted "all ayes" to adopt the amendment. Later, Juel moved and C. White seconded approval of the minutes and bills; the council again voted "all ayes."
On surplus equipment, the clerk said no sealed bids were submitted but two offers arrived by phone and internet today: $500 from Jay Klemme and $800 from Chad Callaway. C. White moved to accept the $800 bid; Bunting seconded. The council voted "all ayes" to accept the $800 offer, and the bid was accepted.
The meeting then continued into other agenda items and was adjourned at 8:15 p.m.
