Resident tells board he was 'shocked' by proposed levy increase at FY2027 hearing

"I got to looking at yours and I was quite shocked to see how much you're wanting to raise your levies," Ledger said, telling board members that many residents are already struggling and will ask questions at the treasurer’s office and then be referred to the school.
Ledger told the board he appreciated that some levy decisions may already be set but said he felt compelled to speak on behalf of residents who face financial strain. No other members of the public spoke during that hearing and the board closed the public-comment portion and adjourned the hearing.
