The change does not eliminate county health permitting for food or beverage vendors — the ordinance retains county health permit requirements for food trucks and food vendors.
An event organizer who spoke at the meeting described the local events as family‑friendly and community building: "What I want to do is get people out to present their products," the organizer said. Councilors moved to suspend the rules and gave final approval to the ordinance amendment by roll call.
