Trustees unanimously approve minutes, Foundation nominees and funding for Hills mural

The Wellesley Free Library Board of Trustees met March 30 and approved a series of routine and project-related motions unanimously. Diane Savage moved to approve the minutes from the Feb. 10 meeting; Maria Ashbrook seconded and the motion passed without objection.
The board then considered Foundation appointments. Ann Howley moved, with Maria Ashbrook seconding, to nominate Stephanie Coughlan and Nora Phillips to second terms on the WFL Foundation; the trustees approved the nominations unanimously. By the same motion pattern, the trustees also approved a nomination of David Harding for a first full term on the Foundation.
On the Hills Branch renovation, Jamie Jurgensen presented a proposal to add a children’s-area mural by artist Jason Sawtelle. Diane Savage moved and Maura Murphy seconded a motion to request $9,680 from the Foundation to cover the mural cost and to use State Aid for any shortfall; the trustees approved the motion unanimously.
The meeting adjourned at 7:00 p.m. after routine business.
