Council approves bridge plans, budget amendment and a package of construction payments

In a bundled series of routine votes, the council approved pay applications and contract actions including pay application No. 2 for the parks pavilion/restroom work, final acceptance and final payment for a sanitary-sewer extension at 6811 performed by Midwest Underground Contractors, change order No. 1 for West Cemetery Road realignment (a material substitution that increased unit price by roughly $1,911), and a pay application for sanitary sewer work that covered staging and temporary access west of the existing line. Council also approved an engineering services agreement for Phase 2 of the sanitary sewer rehabilitation program (budgeted at $225,000: $200,000 construction, $25,000 engineering) and pay application No. 2 for the fire-station addition.
