Carroll County Fiscal Court approves personnel action and routine finance items

The Carroll County Fiscal Court on April 14 approved a Human Resource action and several routine financial items during a meeting at the county courthouse.
Judge Executive David Wilhoite opened the session at 9 a.m. and the court briefly went into executive session after a motion from Magistrate Clay Cable, which carried 4–0. Following the executive session, the court ended the closed session and approved a Human Resource action after a motion from Magistrate Scott Nab, seconded by Magistrate Benjie Long; the vote was 4–0.
The court approved the minutes from its March 24 meeting on a motion by Cable, seconded by Nab, and then approved an attached list of invoices (moved by Long, seconded by Nab) and a set of budget transfers (moved by Nab, seconded by Cable). Each motion passed by a recorded vote of four ayes and zero nays.
The financial report was provided for information only; no action was taken on that report during the meeting.
The court adjourned following a motion from Cable, seconded by Long, which also passed 4–0. The minutes were later signed and dated April 28, 2026, by Judge James David Wilhoite and Fiscal Court Clerk Stacy J. Perkins.
