The Silver Creek Township Planning and Zoning Commission on Sept. 3 approved a variance permitting alteration of two lakeshore parcel divisions at 9571 and 9611 Endicott Ave NW on Millstone Lake.
The request, presented by buyer Kelsea McCormack and seller Rod Hebrink, sought relief under Section 155.026 and 155.048(B) of Chapter 155, Title XV, Land Usage & Zoning of the Wright County Code of Ordinances. The commission was told that one resulting division would contain 5.7 acres of prime soils, exceeding the ordinance maximum of 2.5 acres, and would have about 285 feet of lake frontage, short of the 300-foot requirement.
Commission Chairman Chris Klein presided while members discussed the proposal. After the presentation, member Mike Helman moved to approve the variance; member Brandon Geyen seconded. The motion carried 7-0.
The meeting record lists the property owner(s) as Rodney W. Hebrink, Carol J. Hebrink JREVTR and Dustin McCormack; McCormack (the buyer) and Rod Hebrink (the seller) appeared at the meeting and explained the request. The transcript does not include a direct quote from the applicants or detail on mitigation measures or conditions attached to the approval beyond the variance description.
