The Hurricane Planning Commission approved final site plan FSP26-18 on June 25 for a Maverick gas station and convenience store at 3371 West Brentwood Drive.
James Copeland, the project engineer, described the canopy and a commercial fuel island behind the store and explained circulation pathways for vehicles and boats. One commissioner asked where boats towing trailers would turnaround and how they would access fuel pumps; the engineer pointed to rear access and exit lanes that will accommodate turning movements.
A motion to approve the final site plan subject to staff and JUC comments was moved and seconded and commissioners voted in favor. Staff noted standard technical comments would be addressed during final engineering review.
