Trustees said enforcement had already started and that permit enforcement would be the police chief’s responsibility.
Residents and traffic commissioners raised concern that overnight parking requirements could be punitive for area residents who lack adequate on-street spaces and that a $650-per-year GP permit could be burdensome. Staff clarified meter rules and said meter spots are available after 9 p.m. and GP permits allow 24/7 parking.
After public comment and discussion, trustees closed the public hearing and adopted the parking changes (motion, second; vote recorded as 4 in favor).
