"We are restricting them to the properly zoned areas," Councilman Wilson said, noting violent episodes and negative neighborhood effects tied to some rentals. The council voted to send the revised zoning text to the planning commission for review and recommendation, a required step before potential final action.
The planning commission will review the amendment and return a report to council with findings and recommendations, after which council will consider next steps.
