Danvers seeks consultant for opioid-settlement planning as local recovery services expand

At the April 9 meeting, the Health Department told the Board of Health it is drafting a Request for Proposals for a consultant to help plan and implement opioid-settlement strategies. The department said it is working with Mosaic, the state's new technical-assistance vendor following a transition from JSI, and that the Town Manager is reviewing the draft RFP.
Staff outlined upcoming trainings, including a naloxone session planned for the Danvers Fun Club. The Health Director reported meeting with Redemption House, a 16-bed men's sober home on Proctor Farm property that is expanding and seeking community partnerships. The department also confirmed that a naloxone box is now installed and accessible in a public stairwell at the YMCA.
Board members did not vote on the RFP at the meeting; staff said they will return with a finalized RFP and next steps once the Town Manager's review is complete. The department continues coordinating training and community partnerships as it implements opioid-related settlement funds.
