The Chair of the Town Council called the meeting to order at 5:57 p.m. on June 23, 2026, and asked for a motion to retire to executive session to discuss personnel under Rhode Island General Laws sections 42-46-4 and 42-46-5(a)(1).
A motion and second were made to enter executive session. On a roll call called by the Chair, Councilor Collins, Councilor Durkin, Councilor McNally and Councilor Menzies each answered "Aye," and the Chair stated the motion to enter executive session passed 4-0.
After returning from executive session, the Chair reported that two votes had been taken during the closed session. The council voted 4-0 to seal the June 23, 2026 executive-session minutes. The council also voted 4-0 to exit and return to open session.
The Chair then asked for a motion to adjourn at 8:32 p.m.; a motion and second were made, and the Chair called for the ayes. The transcript records affirmative responses but does not include a separate readout of a final tally in open session.
No additional substantive business was recorded on the public transcript after those motions.
