Atkins council awards $134,800 contract for Sledge removal project

The award resolution was adopted by roll-call votes transcribed as affirmative from Jim Kan, David fer, Trevor Dy, EJ Bell and Samantha Peterson. The mayor was recorded as absent earlier in the meeting.
The contract award resolution includes standard language that the contractor may request additional funds if site conditions change; such requests would come back to the council for approval. The council did not receive oral public testimony on the project during the hearing.
The council’s next regular meeting is scheduled for Oct. 8 at 6:30 p.m.; staff noted a special meeting with the search firm Express Employment Group is planned next week for follow-up on recruitment work.
