Public hearing on Minnewashta Campground boat ramp draws support; council refers issue to Park Board

Resident Brad Windeshausen urged the City to keep the campground, dock and boat ramp, saying the facilities are widely used during the summer season. After receiving public comment, Mayor Pro-tem Richter closed the hearing and the council indicated consensus to refer the matter to the Park Board for additional consideration and recommendations.
No formal vote to retain or remove the campground, dock or ramp was taken at the meeting; the referral to the Park Board is the next procedural step recorded in the minutes.
