Interim Superintendent Brett Fleischmann told the Committee of the Whole on June 23 that the district's instructional materials committee has recommended roughly a dozen titles for board approval at the July 14 meeting.
"I think it's 12 or 13 titles that are being recommended for approval by the full board," Fleischmann said, describing the recommendations as a mix of standard academic textbooks and fiction pieces intended for libraries and reading assignments.
Fleischmann characterized the items as routine and invited questions from directors; no substantive controversy or specific titles were discussed at the preview. The full list of recommended titles will be transmitted to the board for consideration at the July meeting.
