Arnolds Park council approves easements, civic complex payments and several resolutions

The Arnolds Park City Council approved a series of routine and project-specific resolutions at its Feb. 11 regular meeting, including two perpetual utility easements and a major pay application for the civic complex project.
The council adopted Resolution No. 05-2026 and Resolution No. 06-2026, granting perpetual easements to Interstate Power and Light Company for Parcel Nos. 0730279003 and 0730279037 along Minnewashta Beach Road. Mayor Pro-tem Matt Richter opened and closed the public hearing on the easements; no comments were received. The roll calls were unanimous (Ayes: Pas, Richter, Christensen, Smith, Adams).
Council approved Resolution No. 08-2026 accepting AIA Document G701-2017 Change Order No. 2, which increases the civic complex contingency by $7,593.51 per the recommendation of Cannon Moss Brygger & Associates Architects. The council also approved Pay Application No. 8 to Hausmann Construction in the amount of $846,820.36 on CMBA's recommendation; motions and roll call votes were recorded as unanimous.
Other formal actions included approval of Resolution No. 07-2026 authorizing sale of 284 square feet of vacated right-of-way on Iowa Street, and Resolution No. 09-2026 approving assignment and assumption of a law enforcement training reimbursement agreement. The council approved liquor license renewals and an ownership update (Yesterday's; Miles Inn Boji Bay; The Wine Bar and Art Gallery; Emerald Hills) pending dram insurance for two establishments.
Council also granted permission for two parcels (07-28-200-008 and 07-28-200-013) to connect to the Iowa Lakes Regional Water system and appointed Ron Walker to the Little Sioux Water Coalition with a term ending Dec. 31, 2027. Finally, the council set a public hearing on the proposed FY2026-2027 property tax levy for March 24, 2026, at 5:00 p.m.
All recorded roll-call votes reported Ayes from Councilmembers Pas, Richter, Christensen, Smith and Adams; no Nays were recorded.
