Council approves consent agenda and authorizes city credit‑card program

Later in the meeting the council approved a resolution authorizing a Bankers Bank business-card program for city departments. Staff said card limits generally reflected existing limits for departments; the mayor’s card was set with a $10,000 limit for emergency authority. Council members stressed the need for a formal credit-card policy that requires timely submission of receipts and internal controls to ensure audit compliance.
The card resolution passed on a roll-call vote. Council directed staff to draft a formal credit-card policy to present at a future meeting.
