The Arnolds Park City Council on Jan. 14 introduced and approved three resolutions to move utility and property matters to public hearing.
Two resolutions (No. 01-2026 and No. 02-2026) respond to a request from Alliant Energy for perpetual easements to place underground electric lines along Minnewashta Beach Road. The minutes identify Parcel No. 07302797037 and Parcel No. 0730279003 as affected properties; both resolutions were introduced and passed on roll call (ayes recorded as Pas, Richter, Christensen, Smith and Adams). Each resolution sets a public hearing for Feb. 11, 2026, at 5:30 p.m.
The council also introduced Resolution No. 03-2026 to sell 284 square feet of vacated right-of-way on Iowa Street and set a Feb. 11 public hearing at 5:30 p.m. The minutes note the city has previously sold multiple portions of right-of-way along that route; the resolution passed by unanimous roll call.
No public comment or opposition is recorded in the minutes for these items. The hearings will give property owners and other members of the public an opportunity to comment before a final council decision is recorded.
