Adan Cervantes told the Robins Planning & Zoning Commission on Nov. 13 that he plans to subdivide a 1-acre parcel from his 10-acre property to list it for sale and asked to withdraw his request to rezone the parcel from A-1 Agricultural to C-2 Highway Commercial for the time being.
Planning and Zoning Administrator Dean Helander recommended that the commission take no action on the proposed Preliminary and Final Plats while Cervantes looks for a buyer. Following that recommendation, Commissioner Jay Goodin moved to table Resolutions 2024-5 and 2024-6; AJ Hester seconded. Roll call votes were Hester – aye, Rathgaber – aye, Goodin – aye, Trachta – aye. The motions to table carried by the commissioners present.
The motions to table postpone any formal action on the preliminary and final plats and leave the current zoning in place while Cervantes pursues a buyer. The minutes record no additional conditions or timeline for bringing the plats back before the commission.
The commission had earlier approved the meeting agenda and the minutes of Sept. 25, 2024 by unanimous vote. The meeting was called to order by Vice Chairperson Dennis Trachta at 5:31 p.m. at Robins City Hall and adjourned at 6:03 p.m.
