Martin told the board she was interested in serving as the Josephine County liaison to RVCOG. Chair Ron Smith nominated Martin to the liaison role and Commissioner Gary Richardson seconded the nomination. A roll-call vote recorded Richardson — yes; Martin — yes; Smith — yes.
Separately, Martin reviewed Board Order 2025-049, which delegates authority to the Josephine County Airports Manager to execute airport-related documents. Martin said she was concerned the current order could allow the manager to execute required documents without bringing them to the board, outside established policy. The board directed Commissioner Richardson to work with legal staff to draft a revised board order that would ensure the Airports Manager briefs the board monthly on executed documents. No formal vote on a replacement order occurred at the meeting.
