Waterford honors longtime video coordinator Jane Tequelli and celebrates graduation outcomes

The Waterford School District Board of Education honored Jane Tequelli, the district's video production coordinator, ahead of her retirement and praised her decades of behind-the-scenes storytelling that captured graduations, commencements and district milestones.
"For more than 30 years, Jane has been behind the camera capturing the moments that define who we are as a district," a board member said, thanking Tequelli for her service. Tequelli accepted the recognition from the board and received thanks from colleagues and community members.
Following the recognition, Assistant Superintendent Wolf presented the district's graduation report. Wolf said the district held three commencement ceremonies on May 31 for Mott, Kettering and Durant high schools, highlighted that more than 70 Durant students graduated this year and said the combined scholarship offers to graduates across the district total approximately $10 million.
Board members celebrated the graduates and thanked staff who support summer programs and student meals during the break. The board also noted that Superintendent Martin was attending a conference to advocate on the district's behalf and thanked staff for their summer efforts.
The recognition was ceremonial; no formal board action was required. The graduation report will inform district communications and year-end wrap-up activities.
