The meeting also recognized several student achievements: a student accepted at MIT described a focus on engineering and gratitude for district support; another student received a National Merit scholarship and others were honored for fine‑arts contributions and a VFW 'Voice of Democracy' scholarship that will send a finalist to national competition.
Board members used the recognitions to highlight programs that build community and to thank local partners, volunteers and teachers who support students’ academic and extracurricular success.
